Cloth diapered and sleeping through the night? I am tired of being peed on!!!

We have been doing EC and my daughter used to wake me to pee. Now she's almost 18 months old and spins all around the bed when she sleeps. I can't keep a waterproof pad under her cute naked body, so I have been peed on a few times and night and am TIRED of washing the linen every single day.

If I cloth diaper her at night:

1) Will she sleep when they are wet? Right now the pee puddle under her gets cold and she wakes upset. Not when she pees but when it gets cold

2) Is there a problem with diaper rashes sitting in a wet diaper all night? Do you put diaper cream on every night? How does that affect cloth diapers.

We also EC and while I potty DS when he wakes up, he sleeps through many of his pees and I don't try to potty him then.

I found that having a wool cover made a huge difference in his comfort and preventing rashes.  You can also try putting in a fleece liner to get a stay-dry feeling but that didn't seem to make a difference for us.

After trying many different things, I finally found the nighttime combination that works for us - absorbent, comfortable, no leaks, trim, easy on/off for EC, easy to wash, and not too outrageously priced since we sometimes use 3-4 in one night, but he has also been known to sleep 11 hours in one diaper.  I use Megaroos bamboo prefolds with snaps, along with a small hemp doubler, covered with a wool soaker (sustainablebabyish).

If you want to use a cream there are some CD-safe options out there, I like CJ's Butter.
