I'm totally clueless on this one. DD was dairy/soy/egg intolerant as a baby, so I was off of it with her until she tolerated it in my milk about 7mo or so. (meaning no mucousy/bloody green poos) I strongly suspected I might have to do the same for DS because my mom's side is really prone to milk protein allergies, all my uncles and my mom had it, and my mom consumed very little dairy with us (mainly just cheese, I believe), so that may be why we didn't have any symptoms as babies.

Anyway, so I have been off of dairy/soy/egg consistently since around 10 days when his mec poos turned into pure mucous or foamy water and didn't clear up. I have also been off of wheat/gluten, tomatoes and corn for part of that. I went back on those 3 last week since he still seemed to get random mucous and green poos every few days, regardless of if I was on them or not. Yesterday, he pooped and it was green with a moderate amount of mucous (I could see some, but it wasn't overwhelming) and then had another poop last night that was like green water with sand. He has actually had diapers that looked like that before but I didn't realize it was actually gritty and truly felt like sand! I touched it because it was stuck to his bum in a big clump like sand would be.Â

I have never, ever heard of or seen this in an EBF baby! Does anyone have any ideas? His poops also really stunk yesterday and he had painful gas last night after that poop, so something is going on, but I have no idea what it would be. He usually poops once a day, and is gaining weight very well. He did have a posterior tongue tie that was clipped on Friday last week (so about a week from the weird poos) and he has been gaining weight well since then. He had Tylenol that day, maybe 3 doses total. I am tandem nursing but he has his own side, and I will let him comfort nurse off the side the 3yo has nursed on because she drains the breast better than he does, so he gets more hindmilk that way as well.

I can't think of anything else that would be pertinent?
