Could use some advice: My youngest son, Andrew, who turned 3 in May, has ZERO interest in using the potty. He still nurses daily, including nursing to sleep at night. He also won't stay in his bed all night, but climbs in with me somewhere around 2am usually... All of this wouldn't bother me so much if I weren't also pregnant with #5. I need some tips on how to encourage him to be a little more independent. I haven't wanted to rush him, but I think the time has come for some gentle nudging... :-P

I am definitely not one to push the potty thing, but I just want to at least get him interested. He CAN do it- he has before. But whenever I mention it, he has no interest. I probably will try the M&M bribe. If it works, great. If not, I'll just leave it be. (It worked with my daughter, so I have hope! lol)

As far as weaning goes, I'll admit that this is longer than I ever imagined nursing one of my kids, but I don't have a problem with it. The problem I DO have, is that my nipples REALLY hurt!! I thought that would go away after the first trimester, but it hasn't! If it wasn't for that, I would zero issue with him still nursing.

As far as him joining me in bed, again, in theory, I have no problem with this. HOWEVER, he is VERY mobile when he sleeps, and all his kicking a poking wakes me up. He DOES have a bed on the floor next to ours, but he doesn't stay in it all night... lol.

Thanks for reading this, and any advice is appreciated!  :-)
