To take ABX or not - Sinus Infection/Breastfeeding

I just finished out a cold last week then started to feel pressure in my right side of my nose with yellow discharge - as well as upper tooth pain.  I was prescribed Biaxin (L1 in Hales) but not sure if I can just fight this one naturally with a saline rinse and Mucinex (the plain one - Guafenesin) and steamy showers.  I was put on a couple of meds right when the baby was born so I feel guilty going on yet another med.  I just don't want to risk the possible side effects of the abx with me or baby (who is 3 months).  Between possible diahrea and vaginal infections...not to mention watching for diahrea in baby etc...

Can I fight this myself or should I just suck it up and fill the script...sorry NAK...

If you're at the stage where you can experiment a bit, why not try high doses of olive leaf extract? In our house, that has addressed ear infections nicely.

We all had sinus infections here a few months ago and I waited two weeks to see if mine would go away.  It just kept getting worse and worse until I couldn't function.  I ended up going and getting a Z pack prescription and I'm so glad I did.  Nothing else helped and I was so miserable I couldn't parent.

I had a bad sinus infection a few weeks ago, with really bad upper teeth pain, face pain, and bloody snot (sorry TMI) and I did nasal saline rinses several times a day for about four days along with steamy showers, and it went away.
