eReader Cons? - Page 2

I got a Kindle in June. I'm not planning to stop getting regular books and only get e-books.

There really isn't anything that totally turns me off using an e-reader but a few minor things to mention.

Compared to searching for a regular book by topic or author I think the search is not as easy for e-books.

Sometimes I accidentally hit the page back button when I don't intend to.

I feel like I have to be a lot more careful because the device cost quite a bit more than an ordinary book.

I have a password to enter when I turn my device on. If I leave it on with no activity for long enough then  it will go to sleep and I have to re-enter the password to continue reading.

Not everything is available as an e-book.

Is that a new feature of the latest Kindle? I don't think I'd like that at all - can you turn off the password protection?

Yes, it is optional. I have mine turned off, but I'll probably activate it if I am traveling. If my Kindle gets stolen I don't want to give anyone the satusfaction of being able to use it!

The password protection is optional. I personally don't want my dd grabbing the Kindle and messing up my books or going online without my knowledge.
