any new recs on physicians, pediatricians and dentists (adult and peds) in berkeley area?

hi - we just moved to north berkeley and are looking to get some names for all of the medical providers.  i am wondering if anyone has good (or bad) experiences to share.  specifically looking for adult primary care, pediatrician, adult dentist, and pediatric dentist.  would love to stay close by if possible.

My daughter see Janet Perlman at Bayside. I also use Bayside as my primary office. Only been once for myself though so can't remember who I saw. They, obviously, have separate docs for adults and kids. 

We are scheduled to go to aloha dentistry (pediatric). Can't give you a review yet since we haven't gone yet. But my friend has gone for years and only had good things to say. 

I'll be curious about adult dentists. I still see my dentist in SF. Might be time to find someone closer though.

We also see Dr. Perlman at bayside. I have gone to see Dr. Fredian at bayside for myself and I really like her as well. We actually live in the north bay and see dentists up here. So I can't make any recs for that.

Hi Alison;

Well, we too see and love Janet P.  (do you see a trend here?)  There are other great pediatricians in the area, but we adore Janet.  One note, I only schedule our appts. at the Oakland office (even though we too live in North Berkeley) because the office staff is so nice and always on top of everything.  The few times we have dealt with the Berkeley office thay have lost files, made mistakes with appointments and failed to pass on messages.  We are not at all high needs, but somehow they seem to mess everything up over there.  We love the office staff in the Oakland office, so even though it is a bit further we always go there.  Both offices are on Telegraph, and not that far apart really.

My primary care physician is Amal Sawires and I love her too!

Pediatric dentist - we use Denise Bass Allen (also in Oakland) who is fantastic.  And Berkeley orthodontics if you end up needing one - lol.

My dentist is Marjan Rusta who is amazing.

After living in the Bay area for 16 years now I can quite happily say we have found health care providers we love and trust.  Let me know if you need any other recs. (midwives =) , homeopaths etc).

And WELCOME!  Where are you in N. Berkeley?  We live on San Luis just up from Indian Rock, off the Arlington.

She said they have similar philosophies.  We haven't signed up for one yet, but we'll probably start there.

We started off at Kiwi and I changed because we don't vax and I didn't like the mentality of one doctor there regarding vaxxing.  The pediatrician we have now doesn't say anything to us about not vaxxing, but I wouldn't recommend them.  I've been thinking of trying Perlman, since I, too, have heard great things about them.  I was planning on calling today, actually. LOL

I'm still looking for folks, myself, so mostly lurking this thread.
