Bajingo Babies in Bloom - TTC #1 in our 30's Graduates - Summer 2011 - Page 5

Hey ladies smile.gif

Just popping in quickly to say HI as I feel absolutely icky! My kidneys have been giving me a lot of trouble and there's really nothing that can be done to help until after baby arrives. I'm suspecting that if the kidneys keep this up, I'm going to be encouraged to induce, so I'd rather induce myself than get stuck with a pitocin induction. I took a labour inducing cocktail today and will take it again in an hour or so. Hopefully that will jump start things! I've had a couple of good contractions but nothing time-able.

hokievol: Fingers crossed for you that the bleeding stays away. I would definitely ask for a check up just to make you feel better! You don't need the stress of uncertainty and I'm sure your doctor will understand that!

Sorry for the lack of personal responses - I'm going to force myself to walk around for a while and hope for a baby soon!

Birdie - You read it right.  I know, TMI, but it always seems to clean out my system.  shy.gif

Hokie - Still thinking of you and hoping all is well!  hug2.gif

Hokie, I just wanted to pop in and mention that I had a lot of bleeding around 7 weeks with this pregancy--and we never figured out why--but this LO just spit up all over me. So it can be totally fine! I hope that is true for you--try not to worry. *hug*

Hokie sending good thoughts your way.

Wow, thanks so much everyone!  It appears to have stopped so I'm hoping it stays gone.  I still have a little bit of brown stuff (ew) so I've called  the doc this morning to see when I can be seen.

I dutifully stayed on the couch and OD'd on Food Network all day.  A friend of mine's doctor told her that sometimes it takes a few months for your body to get used to not having a period and this is about the time my period would come if I wasn't pregnant, so hopefully my body now has the message and will cut this crap out.  I'm back to being sick, so that's reassuring.

I'll keep you all posted.  Thank you so much for your thoughts and goodvibes.gif!!!

HOkie - Glad to hear the bleeding is staying away, and that the sickness has returned - I know that has to be reassuring!  Any brown stuff is just old blood, so I would assume there's no active bleeding going on.  Keep us posted on what your doctor has to say.  Good luck!!

Hokie:fingersx.gif  that everything is fine. Good news you started feeling sick again and no more "real" bleeding. I hope you can get in to see someone soon for peace of mind. Let us know how it goes.

joy.gif  Everything is fine!!!  A-ok!  Saw the little bitty heartbeat, happy and fat little yolk sac (apparently a deflating yolk sac indicates a miscarriage), midwife was very pleased.  She said sometimes it just happens and as long as it doesn't continue and turns back to brown stuff, not to worry.  I am SO relieved with a funny side note of being even more excited because it's just more real or something.  I'm having a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!  joy.gif

Yeah Hokie! Glad you got to see the little beating heart and everything looks good.

Hokie - Yay for seeing the heartbeat!  I'm glad to hear all is well, I know that had to be scary for you.  You're having a baby, woo-hoo!!!!

LivingSky - HUGE CONGRATS to you and DH on your new bundle of joy.  Looking forward to details & pics!

So much good news today in this thread, yay!!!! joy.gif

Okay, so I was just editing the first post to move Meander and LivingSky to "mommies" instead of expecting.  It kind of freaked me out, because Tear - you are next.... but then I'm next in line!!!!  Aaaagh!!!

Congratulations, LivingSky! I am so happy for you!!!!

Hokievol, that is wonderful news! I hope that's the worst scare you have during this pregnancy, and that everything from here on out is a piece of cake. :)

We brought Alaric home yesterday. I always thought 'sleep when the baby sleeps' was obvious, easy advice to follow. A-hahaha. I had no idea how tiny a gurgle it would take to keep me awake...and he's not really a fussy baby; he slept in 3-4 hour stretches overnight which is awesome... but those little cute gurgles and coos kept me up all night. So we have some adjusting to do, clearly.

Thanks, Meander, I hope this is it for scares, too.  I've been lucky to hear from several women who've had this kind of bleeding and done just fine.  It's very reassuring.  I'm so glad Alaric is home!  I would think you'd be hypersensitive to his little noises for awhile, until you get used to what his normal sounds are.  So happy for you!!!

It's so exciting to see everyone's babies coming!  Anxious to hear how LivingSky's birth went!

It cheered me up so much to hear that both hokievol heard a heartbeat and livingsky's baby was born!  I can't wait to read her birth story.

I had a really triggering day today but I am starting to feel better.  Today is the EDD of my miscarriage baby.  I was thinking today of how crazy it was to be pregnant for only 3 months and then lose the baby just like that.  But I am happy that I am pregnant again and my little wolverine baby is doing really well and things are looking really positive for him.  He has been moving around so much now.  Sometimes it startles me.  Anyone have that happen?  It's like he will be asleep then burst awake with energy.  If this is any sign for things to come I am in trouble!

Oh and Meander I am so happy for you and Alaric that he came home!  Must be so exciting!  I am totally not going to get any sleep once the wolverine is around in the outside world.  I have already turned into a light sleeper.  Every little thing wakes me up.

Tank - The movement still startles me sometimes too, especially when it's like you described - he's all nice and calm, and then BAM!  And the kicks and pokes just keep getting stronger.  I love feeling him move, though.  It really does make my day.  hug2.gif  Hugs for the tough day you were having yesterday.

Meander - Yay, I'm so glad that you an Alaric are both home - healthy, happy, and safe.  I'm sure it is quite an adjustment.  I have a feeling I'll be the same way, looking in the bassinet every few minutes to make sure all is okay, jumping at every gurgle or sigh.
