DD has had this rash for 12 months now. At first we tried to treat ourselves, and it got infected and inflamed; saw a family dr who gave us cortisone creams. They'd clear up the rash almost completely, but not entirely, and then the rash would be back. Then finally we were able to see a dermatologist, who diagnosed it as molluscum contagiosum. Prescribed bleach in bath (yuck), and more cortison cream. I was desperate, we tried the bleach, the improvement was immediate, but again, up to 90% only. And then it came back.

Now, whatever I'm reading on it, nothing mentions itchiness, at least not to the extent that DD experiences. DD's bumps are red, because she scratches them so hard, even if we keep her fingernails short. Also, I don't really see the white centers, but the dermathologist assured me it was m.c.

Right now I'm using tea tree oil, diluted with olive oil. Nothing seems to help. I'm so reluctant to going back to the bleach...

But now I'm thinking maybe it is something else, and she was misdiagnosed?
