Could this be it???

Hello, I'd appreciate any personal experiences, information and support on this matter.

I am 25 years old, have no known health problems, etc. We have been 'casually' TTC for 12 months (no extensive charting involved.)

My cycle is 26 days long and is almost never off schedule. We have unprotected sex throughout my cycle each month but more frequently on 'suspected fertile days,' in my case, on and around day 12 of each cycle.

Today is day 23 of my cycle and I noticed some light, clot-free, spotting this morning. I have been noticing for approximately 5 days now, what I thought could be real pregnancy symptoms.. mood swings, fatigue, nausea, sore breasts, and light cramping.

My last period, although on time, was light and without ANY cramps [not very typical for me.] This month it is 3 days early, cramps are again not as nagging as my typical period cramps. I am not sure what to make of it..

early period or implantation?

Since we have been 'trying' for a year now, I am beginning to wonder why I have not yet conceived? I don't want to begin obsessing over it.. any thoughts?

Welcome to MDC!!!  wave.gif  Well if you did indeed O around CD 12 then spotting on CD 23 would be around 11 DPO and could be implantation spotting (which would occur between 6 and 12 DPO).  What makes you suspect that you O around CD12?  Do you notice creamy or eggwhite cervical fluid?

My first thought when I read your post was that you possibly do not O when you think you do and b/c of your shorter cycle, you might actually have a short luteal phase, which is preventing implantation.  I would highly recommend starting to temp to determine when you're Oing and how long your LP is.  There are things you can do to help a short LP, which might just solve your TTC issues since you've been trying for a year now.  If you're interested in charting, I highly recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility and logging your data on a free site like www.fertilityfriend.com so you can share you charts on this forum so we can help you decipher anything that is confusing!
