midwives in Boca Raton area or Tallahassee

Hi everyone,
I'm 6 months pregnant and live in the Keys. As I'm due in late Sept. I'm beginning to worry about evacuating for hurricanes. With my luck, we'll have a storm and need to leave right when this baby boy decides he wants to see the world! I have friends that my family often stays with in Boca or in Tally, depending on where the storm hits and I'd like to at least contact a couple of midwives prior to evacuation. If I have emergency plans made, I probably won't have to use them, but if I don't...

Any good midwives or birthing clinics close to those areas?

In Boca Raton I would talk to Miriam Pearson Martinez and/or Connie Mullen.  They are in the process of opening up a birth center in Palm Beach County, they currently share offices with Amazing Births and Beyond in Boca Raton.

Thanks for the info. I hope I do not need it (I really cannot deal with a storm right now!) but it is good to be prepared in advance. thanks.gif
