I was overweight to start with. This is just what my body does in pregnancy. This is my third and I always weigh a little less after giving birth than I do at my first prenatal. I don't get particularly hungry during my pregnancies and my activity level doesn't generally decrease.

My curse, though, is that I gain about 15 pounds in the first couple of months postpartum because nursing makes me insanely ravenous and I don't have time or energy to exercise or prepare good foods and all I want to do is eat cake.

At 23 weeks, I've gained about 15 lbs. I've been trying to eat nutrient-dense foods, drink a lot of water, and remain moderately active every day. So far, so good. So long as you don't overeat or eat poorly and remain somewhat active, I think your body just gains what it wants to!

Meggles, that's right. I have hardly changed (to my knowledge) my eating, but pounds, here we go. When I had changed my eating, in the first trimester, as I was eating gummy worms and brownies I gained only 2-3. Now, I'm totally healthy, conscious, active, and...gaining a pound a week!

26 weeks (omg, really?!?) and about 20 pounds. I blame ravenous skinny toddler-boy and his high-calorie, high-protein see-food diet... which I prepare...

I expect I'll come out about 30 pounds total for this pregnancy, with aforementioned toddler it was 25 right on the dot. Can't really get hung about it, BF is the best diet plan ever! And I feel like a seal when I go swimming now, very buoyant.

Well I think about 13lb at almost 23 weeks. I was hoping to be under 20 overall but that's not looking like it will happen now, oh well. I was just at my "normal" (not thin or anything) weight after 6 years of being overweight. I didn't gain too much with my previous 2, but I also gain weight pp despite exclusively bfing large babies and eating a healthy whole-foods based diet. I have changed my way of eating a lot so hoping that may help pp too.

I'll be 23 weeks on Monday and have gained about 15 lbs. Scarily, much of that has been just in the second trimester, but I can tell babe has gotten tons bigger, too.

Since this is my fifth pregnancy, I've come to terms with the fact that I get very big during pregnancy. Like by 25 weeks I start getting the "You must be due any day now!!!!" But I am super short and my husband crazy tall, and we're both sturdy, which seems to equal big baby for me every time.

I started the pregnancy weighing more than I would've wished, but I'm trying to eat nutrient-dense foods for the baby and not stress about my weight right now. Unfortunately, I have a horrific sweet tooth, so I struggle with keeping that under control.

23 weeks and 11 lbs gained (after an initial loss of about 4 -5 lbs in the first trimester).  At my prenatal appt yesterday I checked to see where I was at this point with DS.  At 22 weeks last time I had gained 14 lbs...again after not really gaining in the first trimester.  I gained 50-55 lbs with DS and am hoping to cap it at about 35 lbs this time...but maybe I don't have that much control over it...

I just had a midwife appt. a few days ago, and had gained 22 pounds.  I was 24.5 weeks then.  But, I had actually gained 7 of that before my first appt, so they think I've only gained 15.  Mwha-ha-ha! 

I gained close to 60 pounds last time, though, so I won't be too surprised if that happens again.  I lost all the weight by my 6 week post-partum check, and then had a hard time with losing too much weight while nursing, so maybe I just really need to gain alot in pregnancy.

As of 26 weeks, I am 5lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight.  But first I lost 6lbs, so I've *actually* gained 11lbs.  My midwife was acting concerned about it at my appointment this week, which honestly irritated me a little bit.  1) At the start of this pregnancy, I was heavier than I was at the end of my pregnancy with my 10lb 10oz baby, and the HUGE belly I had.  It was sobering to realize that.  2) I started regular 5x week exercise (for the first time in my life, ever) 3 weeks before I found out I was pregnant, and I've kept it up fairly well.  3) I don't feel hungry, I don't feel fatigued, I'm measuring 28 weeks at 26 weeks and baby's growing and moving great.  And I eat too much ice cream, still.  Therefore, I have to conclude that any weight lost is simply excess fat I needed to be rid of anyway, and I'M GLAD. 

This is my first pregnancy (out of 4!) that anyone's been concerned about me gaining too little weight.  Usually it's the other way around.  But I figure as the 3rd Trimester wears on, I'll be more than making up for my slow start on weight gain.  Yay.

At 22 wks I had gained 25lbs.  With my 1st I gained a total of 50lbs and with 2nd 60lbs!  So I am pretty sure I will be right on track for the same amount this time around.  I am pretty thin to begin with and I have never had to work at losing my weight afterwards - in fact I usually lose a little more weight with bf'ing.  I was so emabarrased when the dr weighed me at my last apt and then asked what my pre-pregnancy weight was! - but they didn't seem to think it was a problem.

I'm 23 weeks and I've gained 13 lbs, almost all of it in the second trimester. I don't feel like my appetite is any bigger than it was before I was pregnant, so I'm pretty impressed that I've gained 13 lbs.

23 weeks and 20 lbs...since 10 weeks. However, I lost about 10 lbs in the first 10 weeks because my appetite was non-existent. My belly and my breasts are definitely bigger, I'm not sure how much weight they account for, and I've noticed my hips and thighs are bigger. I need to get a new swimsuit and I'm debating a maternity suit versus just going to old navy and finding a cheaper bikini in a size bigger. I'm no swimwear model, but I wasn't before I got pregnant either, and now I'm just proud of my belly. I earned this
