Quick sauerkraut smoothie soup recipe--yum!

I made this for breakfast today and I found it rather delightful.  I wanted to share it in case anyone wanted another way to eat sauerkraut.  All quantities are approximate.

red cabbage sauerkraut

lacto-fermented collard greens (probably optional, but I made them and need to use them)

leftover tomato-based pasta sauce

yogurt

a few good olives

1-2 chicken livers cooked to taste in butter

Combine everything in the blender, blend until the consistency you would like.  I heated mine until just warm over the stove to preserve the probiotic-ness of it all.  Really yummy with bread.

So, I just have to ask....did you drink it like a smoothie or eat it like a soup?

I'm usually in the "Don't yuck my yum" camp, but, um....grossedout.gif

I'm glad you liked it, though. thumb.gif

I'm with MamieCole on this one. But glad you liked it.

I ate it with a spoon.  I just called it sauerkraut smoothie soup because A)  I liked the alliteration and B)  it was made in a blender like a smoothie.  But it's really just a smooth soup.
