Hi guys, I am new to this website and in desperate need for some sound advice. I have a daughter who is 8 years old and extremely strong willed. She doesn't like to be told no and more days than not she doesn't follow direction well. She gets mad when I tell her that its time to come inside or time for a bath or even when I try to spend time with her doing something that she chooses it becomes a struggle. she tells me that she hates me, screams at me from the top of her lungs, has even went as far as saying that she wished that she was adopted. I do know that she gets frustrated easy and is on the defensive quite a bit. I try not to take this personal but at times its difficult. I have tried just about everything. I have tried so many methods to get a grip on this for the sake of all of us and have failed. If anyone would have any ideas that they could share with me I would be forecer grateful. I don't want to sound like my child is this horrible little person because I don't feel that she is but something is going on and i do not know what direction to go. thanks for letting me ramble. whew
