Is there room for a DAD on Mothering.com?

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jack, and I'm the father of a 1 and a 4 year old girl.  I'd like to think that I'm a fairly progressive dad who shares the family workload pretty equally with my wife (but as you probably already know, spouses tend to think that they are doing as much as their partners, even when their partners feel that they are doing the bulk of the work).  I've joined the community for a couple of reasons.  As a fairly new dad, I have a lot to learn about parenting, and this seems like a great place to learn more.  I also study family functioning in grad school, so while I know a fair amount of the research literature on parenting and such, I am still a novice when it comes to the wheels hitting the road.  So, I suppose I'll leave it up to folks who respond to my post.  Is there room for a dad on Mothering.com?  I hope so, but I would appreciate your thoughts all the same.

Quick bit of advice--if you are using your real first and last names, you may want to open a different account.  I am not a Facebook-er, but have heard many concerns on MDC regarding threads being copied, posted, and identified through Fb and other social media.
