New Tacoma Pregnancy, Birth & Family Education Center

Hi Everyone, I would like to share a fabulous new resource that is opening up in the Tacoma/University Place area. The new center will be home to a number of classes, workshops and support groups including the most amazing chilbbirth prep class imaginable. Other offerings will include classes/workshops for cloth diapering, baby wearing, yoga (for families and kids) conscious parenting, CPR and first aid training, workshops for current medical professionals on "why it matters" that women be allowed natural births in hospitals, etc etc etc and so much more. Support groups will include new parents, older first time parents, teen parents, parents of children w/ special needs, and more. We're starting a book club, will have regular movie nights, lots of guest speaker works shops and pretty much anything else we can dream up.

This is going to be an absolutely wonderful resource for our community and I am honored to be a part of it and wanted to share it here too. That sounds soo cool! I am in Lakewood and a yoga fanatic, mad wrapper and cloth diaper! I'm going to check out the facebook page and if I can afford to check it out sometime. Soo cool, I wish something like this had been in the area before.
