Family Bed/Floor Bed/Crib?

So we co-sleep with our 3 month old baby and she's been napping on our rather tall bed  too. My almost 70 year old mom (quite active) has been watching my baby and 5 year old while I'm working part time. I'm interested in getting baby her own floor bed (Montessori style) at some point soon, but my mom wants a crib for naps because she's worried about our wiggly baby falling off the bed (and I think the concern is valid). We share a room with baby and don't really have room for crib and floor bed. My mom is absolutely not comfortable with the idea of baby falling a floor bed and/or wriggling around unsupervised should she do so.

I never had a crib or playpen with dd1, but she didn't move like this baby does. I'm sort of anti-crib but I want everyone to be comfortable and it's only for napping. I'm wondering what anyone thinks about just getting the crib for now, then moving on to a floor bed when she's bigger. As I said- if it were just me I'd just get a floor bed but it's not just me. I wish we had a room for baby and I'd just get both!

I was recently looking at products to use while travelling, and was recommended this:

It's called the Peapod.

Maybe your mum would be happy with baby sleeping on the floor if she could zipper the baby in? And the cool think about this is it folds up tiny for travel.
