DD just turned 2.  Within the past two weeks she has started going from 0-60 temper-wise in negative 2 seconds.  This is coming at no particular time of day (no pattern as to hunger, tired, etc.) But even so, I am in need of some ideas on how to deal with the constant whining and frequent all-out screaming melt-down episodes.  I just don't feel confident that I am responding effectively.  For example, when we leave the grocery store she gets to sit on the horse but EVERY TIME has a global meltdown screaming hitting fit when its time to go. (Im hoping to avoid taking her to the grocery for a while, but it may not be possible)  Same thing happens when she's contently playing pushing a toy across the living room and meets an obstacle --she screams out "help please" (we encourage her to ask for help--so she does, but while screaming, lol) and then melts into a scream-fit.  Im looking for ideas on how to respond. There are numerous other examples.  I just need some ideas, a book or something to read that will give me some good ideas on how to respond to her.  I'm not sure I have the right balance between trying to help support her through it and making it worse/encouraging it somehow.  Sometimes she recovers pretty quick, but other times she totally loses it and gets soo angry.

Would welcome resources and ideas.  TIA.
