Just trying to do better

An area I noticed we really as lacking is recycling. My son brought up the idea all on his own, so I am turning it into a learning lesson. I bought a 3 shelf recycled plastic bin and it's been fun. Also, it is eye opening how much trash we have. Working on it.

I have bought myself some produce bags and I am using recycled toilet paper, cat litter(actually it's shredded news papers) and I am starting a small compost bin for scraps. It's quickly becoming habit and I like it.

I am also attempting my first rag rug from some beautiful fabric that I have had forever. It is in tropcial colors and I need a little splash of color in the kitchen.

What other areas can I work on? Suggestions please. Thanks. namaste.gif

in the same vein as reusable grocery bags and reducing waste, how about reusable snack/sandwich bags?

if you sew they are really simple to make, or there are tons of places online to buy them.

Old sayings (with variations), that I try to follow (with so-so success)

"Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without"

"Make it, mend it,wear it out; make it do, or do without"
