homemade wood floor cleaner

hi, i'm looking for a good home-tested recipe for cleaning wood floors.  one that can get out toddler hand gunk but still leave the wood surface with a slight shine but not be slippery or waxy or sticky.  good (natural) smelling would be a bonus.  anyone out there have a fave recipe for me?

TIA.

I've been experimenting with this myself. My last attempt was a big success. I use an old Swiffer mop and refill the bottle with water and a squirt of Dr. Bronner's peppermint. I also found a microfiber cloth with elastic at Lowe's for the bottom of the mop. It wasn't made specifically for the Swiffer and doesn't fit perfectly, but it works. I'm a big fan of microfiber.

It cut through the sticky spots of... who knows what they were... with no problem and left no streaks! And it made my house smell like peppermint. I was very happy. smile.gif
