Help me clean our Waldorf Fairy Doll!

Apparently the fairy was helping the kids erase the chalkboard today, and she got a bit of red chalk on her face and dress. How do I clean this doll? Is there anything, hopefully eco-friendly, I can use to get red chalk out of a handmade doll? 

This is the doll we have, I don't recall it coming with cleaning instructions.

I'd try a really, really soft brush first, since you can simply brush off fabrics that get chalky.  Then, well, maybe you could surface wash it with some mild soap and water?
