37 weeks - baby's growth is falling behind

I just went to my 37 weeks appointment and my baby that has meassured right on for every u/s on the same machine with the same doc has basically not grown in 2 weeks (my last appointment was almost 3 weeks ago).

I am panicking!

He is estimated at 5Ibs 13 oz. today at 37 weeks and my 2 other boys were 7.8 Ibs at birth at 38/1.

I have a clotting disorder but am on Lovenox shots to thin my blood. The doctor referred me to a special u/s at the hospital for further evaluation and after much begging we got an appointment tonight.

What do you think? This is my fourth and I never had a problem like this (my DH and I a very tall people).

I'm the opposite (with a possible 10 lb-er again) so I don't have an advice/ideas.  I'll be thinking of you though!  Good luck and keep us updated!

Just got back from the Doppler and everything is fine. He is just smaller than my other kids. The specialist was not at all worried. Maybe he will just be done baking later....

Glad everything is ok.  Just keep in mind that US is not very accurate for measuring baby's size at this stage.  Neither is fundal height.  They kept telling my girlfriend she was going to have a 6lb or less baby due to her fundal height being 2 weeks behind consistently and late us measurements.  She ended up being 8lb 10 oz.

But I'm glad your fears have been put aside.  Enjoy the rest of your pg!
