*Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): JMJ

*EDD: March 18

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 25

*Location: Utah

*How long it took you to get your BFP: first cycle trying, but I didn't ovulate until 5 weeks into my cycle.  I had been wanting and waiting for about 9 months but was waiting to have fertile cycles while breastfeeding.

*What number child is this for you: 2

*Family (partner, other children, pets): DH, 2 year old DD, food-based pets (sourdough starter named "Fluffy," Kombucha scoby, kefir grains, etc)

*Birth plans/preferences: 2nd homebirth

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: WoooHoooo!!!!!!  I'm so excited to be here!!!!!!!!

JMJ!!!  Nursing Mama!  Great to see you here!

*Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): I'd prefer Rainey, but Texanromaniac (as in a Texan who is crazy about Romania...NOT a Texan who is a romantic) is fine, as is Texan for short

*EDD: March 13

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 35

*Location: Saginaw, TX

*How long it took you to get your BFP: Surprise pregnancy with immediate loss in February...trying since then...

*What number child is this for you: This little Sprite will be our second one here on Earth

*Family (partner, other children, pets): Husband Brack, toddler boy Bug, spoiled princess cat Ami (we are searching for the perfect forever home for her, though)

*Birth plans/preferences: After a perfect pregnancy we had a home birth that ended up transferring and many complications (including an eclamptic seizure six days after the birth)...so we are a bit leery of another home birth. We will either do a birth center birth within 10 minutes of a hospital with a midwife or a hospital birth center birth with a nurse-midwife.

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: Feeling a bit funny posting here since we've only told family so far...but the relative anonymity here works for me till I'm ready to break the news to friends and further afield to long-time online friends that I feel like I know IRL. After the miscarriage I don't want to tell too many people too early in case anything happens (God forbid)...but at the same time I feel like I could BURST if I don't talk to somebody. Hoping to get to know many of you here in the "club" as well as the next eight months progress.

*EDD: March 12

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 33

*Location: California

*How long it took you to get your BFP: A little over a year and a half

*What number child is this for you: FIRST!!!

*Family (partner, other children, pets): DH, and 4 darling chickens

*Birth plans/preferences: Planned Homebirth

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: I'm excited and nervous, hoping it sticks! I feel like after about 20 months of trying, I didn't think it was going to happen any time soon.  No real symptoms yet, but my mom tells me she didn't really get morning sickness, so I'm hoping lack of nausea isn't a bad sign.  Excited about this DDC, I didn't even know such things existed!  :)

Also a few months ago DS was wanting DH and I to get pregnant so hopefully when we tell him he is all for it. :)

*Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): Sara

*EDD: March 14

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 30

*Location: North Dakota

*How long it took you to get your BFP: first month trying

*What number child is this for you: 4

*Family (partner, other children, pets): Hubby, DS (almost 5), DS (3), DD (20 mos)

*Birth plans/preferences: Midwife - possible homebirth - still undecided

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share:  Thi This baby was conceived a few days before we had to evacuate our home and it was in a flood that ruined a large part of our city! Pre-flood, we thought it was the perfect time to add to our family, days later we learned that our town would flood. We had 2 days warning to move everything out of our house. 2 weeks later, on the 4th of July, I got the +. We are living in our friends basement as our home flooded to the roof and we don't even know if it will be able to be repaired (if so, it will be a very long and messy process). Can you believe the timing??? Trying to stay positive for the kiddos though! :)

Hi all!

Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): Kimberly

*EDD: March 21, 2012

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 32

*Location: PA

*How long it took you to get your BFP: 1 month

*What number child is this for you: 2

*Family (partner, other children, pets): DH, DS (18 mo.) and a 9 lb. rabbit

*Birth plans/preferences: Hospital with awesome, awesome midwives

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: I'm anxious. I have been working on my novel for a long time and I set an arbitrary deadline for the rough draft for the end of July. Nine months just doesn't seem long enough to work on revisions and get it ready to query agents. I promised my hubby that it would be done by the end of 2011. It will be very hard to finish revisions with a 2 year old and a newborn, so it must be done before March. It's totally reasonable to finish it before then but I'm a distracted writer.

On another note: It's nice to be a part of a DDC when you aren't prepared to tell anyone for several more weeks. Sharing the news makes it so much more real.

Oh my, mamaprek!  That's a lot to take in at once!  I'm glad to hear that you and your family are safe and have a place to stay.  I did some work cleaning up after Hurricane Katrina, where that exact same thing happened to a lot of the houses (That is what was worse than the wind itself.), and I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

*Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): Stacie

*EDD: March 14

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 35

*Location: Hawaii

*How long it took you to get your BFP:

*What number child is this for you: 7

*Family (partner, other children, pets): DH-Allen, 4 daughters, 2 sons and a few dogs

*Birth plans/preferences: I want to give birth at the same place my other kids were born.  Hoping to go with no epi (only had one so far with my youngest).  Hopefully I get to a hypnobirthing class this time instead of just thinking about it.

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: Excited to be here.  I'm on Team Green and, as of right now, don't even plan to worry about names until much later, maybe even until after birth.  Of course, I always had names all figured out with the others, so I may change my mind on this.  lol

*Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): Leewoss

*EDD: March 17th

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 33/34

*Location: Gilbert, AZ

*How long it took you to get your BFP: Over a year...this was a complete surprise. We had been infertile for over 10 years and had to do in vitro for our toddler, Maddy. After continuing to try with no result, I assumed she would be an only child. This was a wonderful and unexpected gift :)

*What number child is this for you: 2

*Family (partner, other children, pets): Husband, Maddy (age 20 months), 1 dog, 3 cats

*Birth plans/preferences: cesarian in the hospital. My first time was an emergency cesarian due to a concealed placental abruption and had I waited another hour to go to the hospital, neither me or my baby girl would likely be living today. I feel comfortable playing it safe with a scheduled cesarian this time around, and hope to avoid the trauma of the first.

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: I am so hopeful, overjoyed, and scared to death :)

Please remove me. I am bidding farewell to everyone because I had another m/c yesterday. The nurse called and she wants me to come in tomorrow for blood work so that this does not happen again.

I will be back....in another due date club! I hope everyone of you ladies has a healthy and happy 9 months!
