Hi everyone! I've been lurking since I got my BFP at 11 dpo, but I was afraid that joining a ddc would jinx it. Now that I've reached 5 weeks I'm going to take the risk (but I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed just in case!). I really hope I get to stick around!!

*Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): Brighid

*EDD: March 14 (Pi day!!)

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 22/23

*Location: Michigan

*How long it took you to get your BFP: 6 months of charting and prepping my body, but one month of actually TTC

*What number child is this for you: 1

*Family (partner, other children, pets): DH (33), 2 biggish dogs, part-time nanny kid (4).

*Birth plans/preferences: Was hoping for a home birth, but a newly discovered blood disease has made me possibly high risk. Now I'm just hoping that I'll be able to use a midwife at a hospital-attached birth center. I was planning an intervention-free (no drugs, no episiotomy, etc.), and now it turns out that I can't have any of those anyway because of this blood thing. I would, however, love love love to have a waterbirth.

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: My sister had several miscarriages, so I'm super-extra paranoid about them, and I don't know how I'm going to make it through the next 8 weeks without freaking out!

I guess it's time to join, I finally got a BFP today that is strong enough to be believeable!

*Birth plans/preferences: Probably hospital; definitely unmedicated.

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: It's still sinking in, I never thought I'd get my 3rd!

*Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): Sarah

*EDD: I've decided this time around I'm not going to tie myself to a due date.  I'm guessing anywhere from March 8th and on.  With my last 2 pregnancies, I drove myself crazy when I went past due.  I was exactly 2 weeks over with my ds and when he came into our lives, he was right on time.

*Age/ age when the baby will be born:  27

*Location:  Minnesota

*How long it took you to get your BFP:  This baby was a surprise so fortunately, we didn't have to try at all!

*What number child is this for you:  3!!

*Family (partner, other children, pets):  My wonderful husband, 3 year old dd, 9 month old ds and our lovely great dane

*Birth plans/preferences:  Birth center with my midwife and doula

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: I'm so excited to have finally found MDC! With my last two pregnancies I was on babycenter.com and was constantly shaking my head and wondering why I was so different :-)  I'm happy to say, I'm right at home here with my fellow crunchies :-)

Glad you found MDC too Sarah! Congrats!

*Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): Amy or AmyC or Amy Corinne

*EDD: 3/19/12

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 33

*Location: Raleigh, NC

*How long it took you to get your BFP: We were really lucky! It just took one month. I was expecting it to take a lot longer.

*What number child is this for you: 2

*Family (partner, other children, pets): One of each: husband, daughter, dog, cat

*Birth plans/preferences: I think I would like to try for a VBAC.

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: I'm also glad to have found MDC. Last time, I lurked a lot on BabyCenter, but I didn't feel like I had anything in common with most posters.

Name (whatever you would like to be called or like us to know you by): Megame works..

*EDD: 3/22

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: i try not to pay attention 32?33?

*Location: Oregon

*How long it took you to get your BFP: maybe 10 months?  We've never not been trying but I'm still bf my ds

*What number child is this for you: 2

*Family (partner, other children, pets): DH, DS (22 months), cat (angry)

*Birth plans/preferences: I don't know...I guess I'll have to see last time ended in c/s

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: I'm kind of nervous!  I really hope the little one makes it, but I know this first trimester is such a stickler.  At the same time, I don't want to be braced for the worst the whole time.  I just want to enjoy it as I think we originally said 2 so this may be the last one.  Definitely going to keep a journal this time.
