So my almost 3 year old has a big problem- he is now refusing not only to go #2 in the potty, but flat out refusing to go at all. He is holding it in for days, and making himself sick. I am at the end of my rope here.

I feed him extra flax seed, and flax seed oil so it is not hard, but because he holds it in for so long, it is now getting very hard, and backing him up. I feel so bad for him, but I know he knows how, but I dont  understand why he is doing this. Right now, he is sitting on the potty saying that he does not want to, and does not have to go- but he was just hiding under the table trying to hold it in. I only put him on the potty because he peed in his pants, and it was making a huge mess. He needs to go bad. He started to go in his pants when he was under the table, and I would have left him there to finish if he had not peed. I am not going back to diapers with him, but I dont know what to do. It is starting to make him sick, and I dont know what else to do! I need some help. Im about to loose it myself. Is it s control issue? I just dont know why he suddenly does not want to go. We started ec'ing him at 6 months old, and he had been pooping on the potty since then, well, up until a few months ago. (so this problem is not recent, but it recently has gotten so bad with him holding it in for days....)

Sorry if this post is all over the place, but I just am at my wits end.

Help.....please.....:(
