I'll start by saying my first two babies slept with me. 8 years later I just had my third baby and before I had her DH (not the father of my first two) said he was worried about having baby sleep in the bed with us. A friend gave me a ARC and I thought that would solve the co-sleeping problem. Two things happened: first the ARC does not have a mattress so I would have to order one and 2) DH has not had a problem with our baby sleeping in the bed now that she is here. My friend ordered me a mattress but ordered the wrong size. It would cost just as much in shipping to get the right mattress as to buy a new one. The company won't do an exchange so I have to ship the wrong one back and buy a new one.Â

My questions are: my DD is already over two weeks old. Is it worth getting a new mattress? How long were you able to use the ARC (this one is a mini)? Is there another kind of mattress that would fit so I don't have to pay so much for shipping? I wish I could just cut down the mattress that was purchased for me.Â
