Thoughts of /Tsawwassen, BC - Point Roberts, US area?

Hi all!

We may have an opportunity to relocate to the Point Roberts, WA area. 

Anyone familiar?  I am looking for both positive and negative responses.  My concern is that it is pretty isolated (US but have to travel through Canada to reach).  I understand it is super laid back and really just lovely.  Slow pace.  I enjoy that idea for my LO.  We lived in Bellingham for years and while playing in Birch Bay I have looked across the water to Point Roberts, but that is about the extent of my knowledge!

I don't know the ages of your children, but keep in mind that from middle school on they get bussed to Bellingham or Blaine, can't remember which and they spend HOURS on the bus each day.

Thank you for the reply. 

My LO is almost 2.  We have considered that for sure.  Makes me cringe.  I couldn't imagine.  They leave at 8 back by 4, to Blaine.  Way too long in my book.  You can homeschool, on-line curriculum.  We are planning a trip in the next week or 2 to check it out thoroughly before our final decision is made.

Any other thoughts about the area that you have heard?
