Cathy - I'm with you on the sleep sucking thing.  Last night was horrible.  I was up and down to the bathroom, and my back and hips just ached.  My strange dream for the night was that my mom was pregnant... she's in her mid-50's, so that ship has sailed for her.  But I dreamed she was pregnant, and her doctor didn't want to do an U/S on her because she wasn't high risk (really?), and then she started leaking fluids and blood all over the doctor's office floor, but the nurses were very nonchalant about it while I was freaking out.

Anyway, have fun at the LLLI meeting!  I plan on going to one or two of those before I give birth... guess I need to get on that!

Well, hopefully we can both get some sleep soon.  This is not fun. greensad.gif

Went to the place where the LLLI meeting was and it was cancelled due to the leaders kids being sick.  Oh well, next time I guess.  I need a nap.sleeping.gif

If I remember to set my MP3 player with the hypnobabies scripts to "loop" I can sleep till a child or my bladder demand attention, and it's usually dream free too!  For me hypnobabies is nice in labor but worth it's weight in gold for pregnancy sleep!  Of course, if the battery runs down I'm back to dueling cookbooks so it's not a sure thing.  LOL

Saw the midwives this morning and everything seems ok.  I passed the GTT, so yay me!  And although my weight is still higher than I'd like, I had the crunchy midwife again and so there were no comments about it.  :)  I mentioned that I'm still having calf spasm/evil leg cramps (only on my left calf) despite taking the calcium/magnesium supplement and she suggested adding coconut water to my hydration routine.  The potassium and whatnot is apprently a good thing for that sort of cramp.  I adored coconut water with my last pregnancy (and brought it as my laboraide) so I'm not against grabbing a bottle next time I'm at the store.  There's even a Goya brand that is yummier (for me) than the pricey stuff so even more yay!

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

I haven't been on in a while, but it is good to see that everyone is hanging in there for the most part. :)

It is getting hot here 90-100 degree days and this is the first summer I haven't had air conditioning in about 10 years... We have a swamp cooler which works ok, but I don't like to leave it on all night because it is noisy and honestly the budget is super tight so I crack down on any extra energy use or spending or anything if I can! I have been doing some babysitting for a friend which brings in a little extra cash, but I prefer to spend any 'fun' money on doing something fun and not on bills... my husband thinks I am crazy but tolerates me. :)

I am just now 27 weeks and it seems that this is the longest yet shortest pregnancy yet!

My husband got shingles a couple of weeks ago, so he has been feeling pretty crummy and is just now starting to feel better and the rash is healing just slowly. My two boys had rotavirus at the same time and I am waiting to see if they will get chicken pox too from my husband. I am planning on taking the boys to go visit my in-laws (6 hours away) by myself next week. I keep thinking that once we get back, life will settle down and I will be able to focus on thinking about getting ready for baby, but I know it won't. Not until Aug 15th, then I will start pulling baby stuff out and working on cleaning. :)

I feel great pregnancy-wise though. I wish baby would move just a little since he loves to punch and kick my bladder and inside my pelvis which is uncomfortable.

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!!!
