eek! WWYD??

DD (almost 6 months) is EBF and just this week started on solids.  I was actually in the process of feeding her some pureed banana, when I stepped away for a second to grab a napkin from the kitchen.  I came back into the room to find DS (4) feeding DD a little bit of his milkshake.  A banana shake made with organic cow's milk and honey!  Couldn't have been more than a teaspoon or two.  Should I be flipping out?  WWYD?  TIA!

i honestly would not worry if it was only a small amount... DS1 fed DS2 some soy yogurt when DS2 was only about 3 months old... nothing happened. ;)

Naw, I wouldn't worry about it.  Formula is milk-based, so unless your LO has an allergy/intolerance it should be fine.  Banana's a great first food, and the honey...okay, I might worry a teeny bit about honey, but the amount was probably miniscule and the chances there would be a problem are soooooooooo slim.  Think of it this way - at least it was food.  My LO ate a dust bunny at that age.  Yuck.

thanks mamas!  i was actually more freaked out about tummy troubles as a result of the cow's milk than any real threat posed by that wee bit of honey.  she seems perfectly fine, though ;) thanks again!

Oh I hear older siblings are good at feeding the LO's!
Glad everything is ok!
