WF's DHA organic eggs or local organic eggs?

Thread Starter

For a couple years I have been buying DHA organic eggs from Whole Foods. I feel good because DD eats a lot of eggs and I like the DHA. I have recently found an easy source of organic local eggs. Which would you buy? I assume most people will answer local, in which case can you suggest a DHA source/supplement for a 2 year old?

thanks

If the eggs are pastured, then the yolks will probably have a good amount of DHA anyway.

Definately local if the hens are pastured. You can get DHA from grass fed beef and cod liver oil also.

Local!  Only if the chickens are pasture fed.  Fish oil and cod liver oil from Carlson Labs is some of the best as far as a DHA supplement goes.  I mix a little with water because it is lemon or orange flavored.  The cod liver oil has vitamin D, the fish oil does not, that is about the only difference between the 2.  I get mine on vitacost.com   That site sells a lot of organic food and such, it is SO easy to get the $49 you need for free shipping!
