The AF that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends...

So ds is 22 months and has been done nursing for about 3 weeks.  The few months prior to him totally weaning we were only nursing once a day or so.  I got my first PPAF when he was 19 months old.  It was pretty light, but definitely had all the cramps and pms.  Second cycle was 28 days later, a little heavier but still light compared to my pre-baby cycles.  Next cycle was 27 days later and about the same.  This cycle started 33 days after that, and I have literally been on my period for 2 weeks.  It isn't heavy, but pretty consistent and enough that I need to have a tampon/pad.

WTH?

I am guessing it is just my hormones regulating after nursing so long?  Even nursing twice a day was enough to keep AF a day and I didn't have a PPAF until we went down to once a day.  I have no idea what's going on or how to chart this.  We are TTC.  I'm not in a panic about it, but TTC would be a whole lot easier if I could figure out when I'm Oing! (:

Any help, advice, or BTDT appreciated! How would you chart this? At what point should I consider going to my HCP?

im not realy sure what would cause that....you may want to post in the ttc while nursing thread...they may know more about the hormone levels while nursing.

id say 2 weeks warents a call to the doc to me, but im no expert. ;)

You said your last "cycle" was 33 days. Longer than the previous ones. Did you test for pregnancy before the bleeding started? I really don't know. That is the first thing that came to mind. I would definitely call your midwife or see someone...

Love the title you gave the thread by the way lol.

Definitely not pregnant, and I am still at a total loss as to what's going on, AF is heavier today, more like my regular flow... I don't even know!

I have seen a lot of ladies with this same problem and a close friend of mine had this issue just a couple of months ago. It sounds like it could be a polyp. They seem to be more common after pregnancy. The darn things just bleed and bleed and if you wait long enough, you could become anemic. Head to the doctor as soon as you can and if it's a polyp, they just do something like a D&C and remove it.

Good luck! I hope you find out the problem.
