My son is now 14 months old and I am trying to wean him from breastfeeding several times in the middle of the night. My partner and I am trying to transition him into the crib from co-sleeping so that we can all sleep more soundly. He nurses several times in the middle of the night and cries until I let him nurse. Any suggestions to reduce night time feedings would be greatly appreciated!!!

Have you seen Jay Gordon's method? Some mamas here say they have had good results with it.

I'm curious, too
How did it go?
I have a 14 month old and it's just so much easier to nurse her if she wakes in the night (she's in the crib and wakes up usually one time, sometimes more, and very rarely not at all) than to rock or bounce her, which takes longer and I can't do lying down.
I would like to have another baby soon, and I'm hoping my fertility will return when she stops nursing at night, but I'm feeling ambivalent about night weaning -- it sounds like a lot of work and while I hope it would stop the night waking, I know that it might not.
