GMD Preemie or Orange Edge?

I can't believe we're only 3-5 WEEKS away from our little Eddie arriving!!!  

Both the Dr (only saw for U/S) and our MW are expecting this little boy to be SMALL.  Not dangerously small...but...SMALL!  He has consistently measured WEEKS behind...of course, if you saw his Mama....well, it wouldn't be a shocker!

I am only 4'9.75" and was just 5# at birth.  Dr and MW are expecting the same for Eddie.

We have a ton of "newborn" diapers (those 6-8+ pound) and a LOT of yellow-edge GMDs. But are going to place an order for some more GMDs in the next day or so.

So far, I have 2 HH preemie diapers that are for 3-6 pounds.  ANd while I'm going to purchase a few more...we want to order a stash of GMDs and covers.

Not to say that I can spend money willy-nilly...but I do have a bit of a "baby budget" and my husband is very supportive of my CD purchases.  He just wants our little one to be in the most proper-fitting diapers at each stage.  He/We would rather Eddie be in the right size dipes for a short amount of time and simply resell them...than to not spend the money and everything he wears be HUGE until he catches up with diaper sizes.

So my dilemma is: preemie GMDs or orange-edge newborn??  Decisions. Decisions.

I would probably go for at least a dozen of each. my 8lb9oz boy was in newborn for a month, and could have stayed in them a week more if I wanted.

My DS was 6 lbs 13 oz at birth & the orange edge fit him just right, he's 6 weeks now & still fit fine at around 12 lbs. I would say that if you fold them down, they will work just fine.
