OPK's do not confirm ovulation, they only indicate when your body is gearing up to O. So you could have a surge of LH, fertile CF, etc. and then not actually O. Many common things can delay O like stress, injury, illness, travel, strenuous exercise, etc. Your body will gear up again in a few days or even a few weeks with another surge and more fertile CF. Only temping will actually confirm if you O'd or not, which is why I always recommend it to women who are getting confusing OPK's. It's important to also keep in mind that OPK's are not necessarily the most reliable things. Often women will never get a positive or get positives for days on end or get positives even after an obvious temp shift. Sometimes they are picking up other things happening in your body.Â

As for using OPK's as a pregnancy test, I have read that they only work after an HPT would turn up positive anyway.  So if you're curious, take a sensitive HPT. Otherwise, I would assume either you have not yet O'd or that your OPK is just randomly giving you a positive that doesn't mean anything. If you're getting more creamy and eggwhite CF that is even more evidence that you are about to O. So to be safe, I would keep DTD and take another OPK tomorrow. Good luck!
