I've only been able to locate one. Homebirth preferred. Very new to this... would love any suggestions. Thanks!

We use Kathy Hindle of Midwifery Traditions. I've been going to her for years for regular gyne care. This will be my first homebirth with her. I attended a birth where she delivered the baby. She's wonderful and I love her.

i second the nod for kathy hindle.  she was there for my two home births.  i ran into her in the parking lot of my local whole foods yesterday & when i got home & told my husband, he said he was surprised i wasn't still there talking to her.  she really cares & is just wonderful.  i can't imagine having a baby w/o her!  (i'm most likely done having babies :-().

best wishes!

Also check out Valley Birthplace http://www.valleybirthplace.com/ (they do hospital/birth center/homebirths).  We used them for #2 and had a beyond excellent experience.

And you can check out Rising Moon Midwifery http://www.risingmoonmidwifery.com/

There was one more midwife in the area that I met with, but her name escapes me right now!
