Oooo...Elmer and I are in love. I've completely ditched Alfredo! Besides, a woodchuck is way more my speed than a plastic bouncy pony... wink1.gif

Gelly--I took them earlier but had no spotting. I don't seem to ever get spotting, though, so I don't know if I'm a good person to compare to. I think it's normal if you haven't been on them before/lately. The retrieval is going to be Tuesday (unless she changes her mind, but I seriously doubt it) and the transfer either Friday or Sunday.

Gelly - I feel great! The little one is kicking like crazy. I think he might be part kangaroo! winky.gif I didn't realize he'd be this active at (almost) 21wks. It's amazing!

Think of each of you and cheering on from the stands!

Xoxoxoxo.

Good luck on Tuesday! I hope everything goes smashingly :)

Afm: Thanks for all the enthusiasm, everyone! innocent.gif I'm having the same cramping/pressure that I had really early on with DD so I'm hoping that's a good sign. I tested again this morning with another internet cheapie and it's still positive. Not much darker than yesterday's but a bit. I'm going to pick up a digital 'pregnant/not pregnant' test today because DP likes to see it 'in writing' lol To be honest, we're both pretty shocked that it might be real. We're very cautious and keep saying "if" a lot. I'm hoping to go for 2 beta/prog. tests this coming week so that will tell us a lot more. I'll likely go for a 6/7 week u/s too....because as I said, I'm really paranoid in the first trimester. Aaahhhhhh I just want to get through each day at this point without AF sneaking back!! Thank goodness for acupuncture on Tuesday...

Fingers crossed for a sticky little babe.

Good luck on your impending retrieval and transfer, Isa!  You are in our thoughts.

Thanks for your compliments on our pictures, everyone!  You've made us blush ;)  This past weekend while the kids were in respite, we didn't have any plans.  At least, any plans that *I* knew about.  DW picked me up from work Friday evening and wouldn't tell me where we were going.  Come to find out, she was taking me to Laguna Beach, CA!  That's where we got married in 2008.  She's so good to me.  :)  We had a great time, it was lovely to be together in our favorite place, even if it was only for a short time.

Naturally, while we were there, AF showed up for DW.  Of course.  Oh well.  DW's birthday was Thursday and that night we went to Harry Potter with some friends, loved it!  So then Friday, for her birthday, was when AF showed her face.  We were expecting it, and honestly since it's the last one before we get pregnant (positive thinking!) we were glad to have AF crash our romantic getaway.

On our way back to Tucson, we were laughing about how since gestational age is calculated from LMP, DW is technically 3 days pregnant now... If we can manage to make her pregnant in a couple weeks.  Haha.  DW's cycle is usually 32/33 days long, so we expect her ovulation to be around CD18 or so.

Carmen, would you move us to Waiting To O?

Seraf, I know!! It's weird but true!

Desert: Glad you had fun in Laguna Beach! I love it there too. DP and I spent her birthday there a few years back and it's so lovely :)

Desert--we've been taking the weekly photos already--we're on week 3 tomorrow! smile.gif I know it's ridiculous, but I figure that since I'm already theoretically pregnant I might as well start the photos at the very beginning!

Gelly:  DW was the one donating eggs and she had a lot of spotting while on BCP.  Nurse assured her it was normal.

Hello,

I am new on here but thought it would be perfect if I had questions or suggestions. My DP and I want to have a baby so a friend of ours told us about freespermdonorregistry.com and it looks legit and all but NO DONORS are in new mexico. So we would have to have it shipped. There also are NO sperm banks out here either.. What do you all feel about shipped sperm? Does it work? How many times did it take? Please let me know what you feel about it and what you suggest.

Hi Handerson: welcome to the board. I think you'll find a lot of great women here who can share their experiences. There are many that have used out of state sperm banks to get sperm shipped to them for use in insemination (both at home and in office IUIs and ICIs). They can give you more details as to what will need to be done. Each state is a little different in what they require to accept the use of donor sperm via shipment.

Overall, the time to get pregnant depends on multiple factors but it can take awhile. There is no set time it takes to get pregnant (we wish there were so we knew!) but there are women on this board who got pregnant via shipped donor sperm.

Tell us more about yourself and we can help guide you if you're looking for guidance. I can tell you this much --- being educated about the process of conception is going to immensely help to shorten the time it takes to get pregnant.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Krista (aka Lesbodoula)

Thank you so much! and great to know there are woman that have become pregnant from shipped sperm. I am 27 and I have 3 daughters of my own and my DP and I want to have a baby together. We are very happy and very sure about this decision. She will actually be the one to have the baby. She wants to experience it and I am all for it and way excited. But like I said I have not found any donors here in NM so I have to look into shipped. I would love for others opinions and info and stories on the frozen and where you went, how you went about doing it, like what you did and well I have looked up alot of stuff  on this but would like for actual people with experience to talk to and get info from... Than kyou sooo much!

Also what is the difference between IUI AND ICI. Whats better?

Im think ICI is better. I was looking into it??

Handerson, with ici the sperm is placed into the vagina. With iui it is put directly into the uterus. Which is better? Depends on your situation. Ici is safer and easier at home and pretty much the only way with fresh at home. Iui has higher chances of conception, I hear. Iui is usually done in a doctor's office.

Lots of us have gotten pregnant with frozen or fresh donor sperm. No telling how long it will take. I would start by charting on fertilityfriend.com. They have a great e-lesson series about understanding fertility. I redolent a few months of charting before afghani trying because it's really stressful to try to catch the egg.

I have gotten pregnant twice with frozen sperm and once with fresh. I'm currently gestating a baby concieved with frozen sperm via iui on the 4th try. The other kiss were conceived on try 3 with frozen and try 2 with fresh. I'm also trying to get my partner pregnant with frozen, tho she is in talks with a potential known donor.

Any more specific questions?

Who are you going thru for your donors? and im very sure i will have more questions lol

I am pretty sure we will go with frozen. Do you have any websites or tell me more about frozen insemination. Like how u go about doing it and so on? lol I just liek you said want to look into it and know whats up so we dont go into this blinded.
