Neg OPK Help

Hello Ladies,
I only just started using OPK's. I'm due to Ovulate either the rnd or 3rd. FF says the 2nd and other Calanders say 3rd. As of this morning I still had a -. Shouldn't it be + now?

I'm assuming FF and those other calenders are predicting ovulation based on previous cycles?  If so, that is not the most accurate way to predict O (and is why birth control methods like the rhythm method often fail).  How is your CM looking?

Here you are!  LOL!   The pp is right... look for your creamy and eggwhite CF and then start your OPK's.  And keep in mind that OPK's aren't necessarily the most accurate things.  Keep temping!

Thanks for the reply! My CM is wet n looks clear on the finger but if you run ur nail to collect it, it's a cloudy white. No EWCM yet

Yes BBT thermometer and I would start temping tomorrow morning b/c you will likely be able to catch that temp shift this cycle and if you don't get pg this cycle (and you aren't currently!  LOL!) then you will have that much more data to help you next time.  Just try to take your temp after a decent block of sleep (3 hours is best if you can), first thing in the morning right after you wake up but before you get out of bed, around the same time each morning (within a half an hour).

Any drug store will carry one.  Some have better reviews than others (like the new Walgreens one isn't the best, but I've been using it successfully for years).  I prefer the ones that take a bit longer (like a minute instead of 30 seconds).  I just feel they are more accurate.  But really, they all work well enough for most women to see a biphasic pattern.

Still neg OPK today, But atleast I have definate fertile CF today! And had a pain yesterday on my right abdomin, But I don't think it was O since my OPK is still neg. My temp did drop a bit this morning.. but I don't know if that really means anything since I only had one previous temp to go by lol. But it went from 97.70 to 97.45

Those sound like pretty typical pre-O temps.  Combine that with fertile CF and it sounds to me like you haven't missed O yet this cycle.  Remember that the OPK's may or may not line up with your CF and temp shift... you'll just have to see.  And now that you're temping and charting CF the OPK is really an add on that isn't necessary unless you enjoy using them.

I'll probably stop using OPK after this cycle as I only have like 3-4 left anyway lol. Just seeing how everything matches up this time around. But its definatly not an added expense that I need. But I had them before I learned all THIS stuff haha. And now that I haven't O'd yet it's going to push my LP and AF out now right? It'll be 14 days from O til AF?

Delayed O will push AF off, yes.  Do we know how long your typical LP is?  Average is 12-14 days and it can vary by about 2 days cycle to cycle, but not usually more than that.  Mine averages 10 days, but occasionally will be 11 or 12.  So yes, whenever you finally O, tack on your LP length and that is the day of expected AF.

usually 28 day cycle most I've ever been was 32 once or twice. My LP is usually 14

Since you're only now getting started with temping you probably haven't known exactly when you were Oing to know exactly how long your LP typically is.  It may very well be 14 days normally, but I'm guessing it may be a bit shorter than you think.  We'll see (or not if you get a BFP!).

CF is still watery. I uually only get a little EWCM, used to be more, but my body has changed. I uually just get very 'wet' around O. Well before we read the in-gender site we were going by other sites that said to DTD up to about 3 days before O. But after looking at everything it really seems like 'swaying' methods really aren't THAT much more effective over your normal 50/50 shot lol. So.. I think we may just DTD today and leave it at that. Any suggestions lol I mean... Im not gunna be angry if its a boy, or not want it... itd just be NICE to have a little girl lol

Nope no suggestions.  I honestly felt all our attempts at timing for a girl were highly frustrating.   It seems like the highest percentage of girls are born to fathers that have jobs that involve radiation.  So just have your dh start his new career as a radiologist or jet pilot!
