Red Hot and Baby Boom ***TTC in Our 20's*** July 2011 - Page 2

Another high temp this morning, so I couldn't resist anymore. Tested with a clear blue and got a very light, but very much there BFP. It's darker/more obvious in person, and I had DH confirm it (about 15 times because I couldn't believe it Sheepish.gif)

Here's the picture:

You can totally see it, right? I'll test again tomorrow and see if it's darker, but...it's there, isn't it? I might just break down and get a digital "pregnant/not pregnant" one, just to ease my mind.

If it is, I'm being very cautiously optimistic. My sister had several miscarriages, so I'm not going to rest easy for another few months. I'll keep you all posted as far as that goes.

UMMMM UR PREGNANT!!!!! :))))) Congrats love. I totally see it.

AFM: AF showed this am. I havent had a period in over 4 months so I am actually pretty excited to see her. Im pretty crampy though, but it means she will be gone by my wedding on Friday. YAY!

Thanks Gemmine and Sila. I took the clearblue this morning because I still had one left over and I got the dreaded "Not Pregnant"  and a deffinit negative with the other Dollar Tree test. I am so confused I know for a fact that the test I took a few days ago was a deffinit faint positive I saw it DH saw it and I was so excited I went down to moms apartment (In the same house) and showed her the test again within the 10 minutes and she saw it too. Maybe It was a false positive. The test I took 2 days later could have been my eyes playing tricks on me because I was the only one to see it during the 10 minutes and the Dollar trees have often given me really dark evap lines and quick that why I am always hesitant to take them. No AF yet so Im not out yet but Im gonna take a break with testing for now atleast. I think maybe friday Ill test if AF is a no show I still have an appointment next saturday and if nothing still by then Im gonna ask for a blood test.

D&J - Hmm. Sounds like a plan though winky.gif If you do have a next cycle, I would definitely recommend charting so you could at least confirm when you ovulate and hopefully avoid confusion.

N&A - Sorry AF found you. But I'm glad she isn't being inviting to your wedding!

Im not sure at all how to chart but I am very interested seeing as in I am very irregular. Do you have to use a certain thermometer? Is it just like taking your temp like normal? When do you start, when AF starts? Sorry about all the questions but I wanna be accurate.

DandJ- sorry lovey. I know how that feels.. :(

Sila- thanks for the congrats on the wedding. We are only having an overnight "honeymoon" since im in school and DH is busy busy. But AF will not be in tow and Maybe this cycle will bring some luck. Im excited just to have a regular full cycle and not be on hormonal B/C anymore.

Anyone have any exciting plans for the 4th? We are just hanging out. The forcast showed thunderstorms but its sunny and we are outside playing for the moment. Im feeling pretty down because of all the AF hormones. The sun always makes me feel better. So we went outside. Besides, my house is trashed and if I stayed inside i'd have to clean. HAHAHAHAHA....

Im anxious to see how this cycle goes. 11 day luteal phase is long for me so I am pretty excited about that.

D&J - I HIGHLY recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It is very comprehensive and you will learn invaluable information about your reproductive cycle. In the meantime the website fertilityfriend.com has some free info lessons about charting that can get you started (compared to the book it's not a lot but it's enough to give you that basic idea). All you need is a basal thermometer. You can get one at any drugstore. I think I even got one at Target.

N&A- Yay for your LP! It's definitely long enough to make a baby!

As for the 4th...DH is working all weekend (this used to be my favorite holiday...). DS and I are about to head out the door to the Farmers Market. We'll probably hang out at the pool this afternoon. I considered the beach but parking is always RIDICULOUS this weekend! I always feel like there should be some mandatory rule that if you live within 5 miles from the beach you should be able to park no matter what. Tomorrow our neighborhood has a little parade for the kids and DS will do that. Than lunch at my in laws. I bought a few fireworks yesterday...not sure if DS will freak out or think they are cool lol. I'm also missing that cable we cut out right now... none of the 5 channels we get is showing the Tour de France. Im a nerd like that. Wimbledon just isn't cutting it for me. I stocked up on audio books yesterday and started cleaning yesterday and plan to continue the rest of the weekend. N&A I'll hit your house next.

Congratulations, Brighids Flame!!!  I'm not sure we ever stop worrying, but don't let that keep you from celebrating and bonding.  The future is always uncertain, but the present is just wonderful!  Enjoy every minute!

Prenatal coach and Bela: Hugs!!!

NanandAubie: Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

AFM I am 8 dpo and not feeling anything in either direction. Slightly tender boobs and I have had some creamy cm, but nothing beyond that. I have been traveling so I haven't been temping. I guess I'll just wait and see.

Brighid's Flame: Congratulations! I totally see it! Enjoy!

Thank you so much everyone!! I still can't believe it! I'm sticking around in this thread for a while to see if you ladies still in the 2ww get BFPs too! I wish you all the best, and I hope that those of you who didn't get them last cycle will get your BFPs this cycle!!

Thanks MaryK!

Our wedding is small and just a city hall ceremony, we are excited though. We've been together for almost 9 years so no time like the present, right?

Sila- the beach is about an hour from here and always PACKED on the 4th so we said FORGET IT! this year. My kids HATE fireworks and they are illegal for civilians in MA. Some person up the st was setting them off last night at 12 am and woke up Anna twice. I felt bad for her she was so scared. I love them and they are so pretty. Wish the girls liked them. I am a clean freak, LOVE cleaning, we would get along nicely. HEHE, would be nice to have a cleaning buddy! We went to Boston yesterday so DH could do a quick repair on a deck his partner installed. It was right on the ocean so the girls got to watch the boats, it was nice. We went shopping right after and spent TOO much money, lol but finally got a Duvet set for the bedroom (last room we need to decorate). My bday was friday (DH took me out to a local martini bar and I got 2 hours away from home! LOL) But he bought me this mini pale pink with irridescent hot pink shimmer purse I have been coveting FOREVER! I was excited. We have been saving for a new bedroom furniture set and will be buying it from Ikea mid july if all goes well. Im so excited for that too. But he got me some nice summer dresses and the kids got to each pick one thing. We came home, ate some dinner and watched "the rite" with the hubby. Today we let the girls play outside and then ran errands. I cooked and we are watching Lord of the rings now. Tomorrow hubby has to work a few hours and I will be studying for a test on Tues. Just veggin out for the most part.

Im thinking about previous cycles where I temped and they were 27 days with a 9 day LP, it looks as though things have changed though and now I am not certain when i should start the OPK's? I have a lot of the IC's so I am not sure when exactly to start. any thoughts?

Sila-Thanks for the info! If AF shows up which Im thinking now she will I will order it and I cant wait to read it!

No new symptoms for me either. my CM seemed to dry up but I am very nauseous and have thrown up about 3 times today which is totaly weird for me but Im thinking I either have a bug or am just over stressing myself.

As for the 4th were stuck at home :( DH is working 3-10 which pretty much kills our entire day. Hopefully someone does fireworks around here so the kids and I can watch.

N&A- Congrats! No matter how big or small your wedding maybe its the meaning that matters more love.gif  DH and I had a small wedding when I was 7 months pregnant with just our family and a few friends. We did a cake and coffee hour in the rec hall at the church right after and it meant just as much to me as if we had a huge reception. By the way I have family in MA if you dont mind me asking where in MA are you from?

DandJ- that sounds like a nice reception... :) We are having a BBQ in the back yard in a few weeks to celebrate. We are going to the casino in CT after the wedding for an overnight and a couples massage the following day. It should be nice. We are in central MA, near Worcester. :)

Alyssa - Welcome again smile.gif

D&J - Either way, I hope you are feeling better!

N&A -  Happy late birthday!!! Sounds like you had a great celebration. DH and I had a very small backyard wedding. It was perfect luxlove.gif As for your opk question, I would start them when you start to have more fertile CM.

N&A- Sounds perfect! I might have to look into a couples massage also. It sounds like fun! I have family in the East LongMeadow/Springfield area. I dont think your that far from them and your only about 4 or 5 hours from me :)

Bad news for me.. I started having very very heavy cramps with no bleeding. It hurt so bad I had DH take me to the ER where they did a urine test- Neg a bloodtest where they said my levels were very low and a ultra sound where they told me I had empty sack as they put it. Apparently the egg fertilized implanted and never started growing. Its pretty common they say. They also told me I would start to bleed within the next few days and if the pain gets worse to come back and about an hour ago I started to bleed brokenheart.gif
