Three, only because it seems easiest to read.

I'm on a library computer and they all look the same to me. I don't care about the accent colors, I just need the white to be gone. It's so glaring to my eyes.

I really like #2.

I dislike #3. It is drab.

Thanks!

I agree with some of the previous posters. The differences are so subtle that I couldn't care less between those choices. And I do agree it would be nice if you could choose your own background as many other forums do.

Another vote for 3!

I do love the name "Dun Dun"... but, I picked the brown.  However, I think they all look the same as what we already have.

To those who can't tell a difference:

The color differences are just referring to the background of the actual message bodies.  The MDC header and such is staying the same.   Look at the actual post and you will notice subtle color changes.

I voted for #4, because it looked pretty.  I like any purple colors, but this one stood out for me.

reminds me of that movie where the guy is agonising over which colour to paint the room, and the woman goes "they all look like white to me".

I like #2. Thanks for letting us have an input

#1 is my choice, but was tough to see the differences at first.

I don't know why, but they are all the same on my computer.  Shucks.

Whichever will be most clear and readable. There is a reason most text is black on white, and it is not to bore the reader, but to make it easy to read. To access the info you want quickly and easily. Light green border with knock out white type may look lovely, but if no one can read it easily, they will leave the site. Large, short text knocked out of dark purple will be enough contrast to make it comfortable to read. And a lot of text needs to be in the darkest color possible for the design, and if you have to have a background color, make it as light as possible.

Start with the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.

Snoooooze.

3.

From what I can tell of the pictures, it looks like it will be the easiest for me to read.

I agree with PPs that have said there isn't much difference. I would like something darker or at least different.

But I vote #4. thumb.gif

They all look the same to me!

I haven't been around here in a long time, but what happened to our option for choosing our background? I loved the options there. None of these are something I would choose, they are kind of boring and all very similar.

Subtle being the operative word.

I'm not really a fan of any, but I absolutely cannot abide the limey with purple. It's an eyesore! I agree with those who've suggested a skin. I'd much rather it stays as it is.
