My 27 month old refuses to eat at least half of what I offer & keeps asking to BF instead. It's driving me crazy. Dd is 2 months, I'd really like to get Ds back to nursing just 2-3 times a day. I've tried to just capitulate but I just can't, even if I wanted to he asks when I'm busy or when we are out. Any tips on how to deal with this or anyone who knows how feel?

I don't know if this is going to be helpful - but I can definitely say I understand what you're going through. My ds was 21mo when my dd was born and he wanted to nurse all.the.time. I got to the point where I felt like I could not sit down because everytime I did he would be there demanding to nurse. What I ended up doing was becoming an expert sling nurser and simply didn't sit to nurse - not exactly easy when you're exhausted, but it was a way to avoid constantly nursing two at once. My ds was also not a good eater - in fact he refused all solids until he was 14mo and then still barely ate. I think, in my experience, when you have a child that just absolutely loves to nurse this is to be expected. They wait out the drought of pregnancy and then just want to dive back in with the awesome new baby milk:) It's a very tough time and hard to deal with but you are doing something wonderful for both of your babies - best wishes for finding a balance that works for you.

Yeah, no real advice here...my new baby will now be a year old this month, and DS is still wants to nurse instead of eating real food. DD is nursing less so that is helping him...

Hang in there. If he was down to 2-3 times at day before, I am sure it won't be that long for the newness to wear off.
