Cool thread! 1000 minutes seemed daunting, but I totaled up all the exercise I did in June (I track it on my calendar) and it came out to 1170 minutes, so I guess I'm a good fit for this thread! thumb.gif

So far in July:

Sat 7/1: 90 minute walk

Sun 7/2: 45 minute walk

Mon 7/3: 90 minute walk

So I guess I'm at 225/1000 so far. smile.gif

Hi! I saw this thread yesterday and I'm inspired! I just entered my 2nd trimester after a grueling, unpleasant 1st one.  Before I got pregnant I was strong and fit.  I did at least 90 minutes of strenuous yoga every day and taught yoga classes once or twice a week.  Since I was so sick during my first tri, I barely left the bed, let alone got any kind of exercise.  I'm feeling better and want to stay strong and fit while I'm pregnant, so I'm taking brisk walks with my dogs & getting back to daily yoga practice, although I've been warned to take it much easier than I used to, so that means gentle yoga instead of ashtanga or vinyasa flow.

Here's what I've done so far this month:

7/7 60 minute dog walk

       90 minute yoga class (taught)

7/8 60 minute dog walk

       90 minute yoga class

I think I'll up my goal to 1300 this month.  I want to jump to 1500 because my average last month would have put me there if Ihad started on the first, but I don't want to overshoot toooo much.

7/2- 60 minute walking around my brothers neighborhood in the hills (L.A)  some were verrryy steep, and we might have accidentally walked into the dairy free/soy free coconut ice cream shop down the road. ;-)

7/3 - 20 minutes hatha yoga on my own.  (Won't count walking around Solvang since it was punctuated with much wine tasting. lol)

7/7 60 minute walk

7/8 40 minute sloooow walk, 20 minutes bodyweight exercises a la "Multi Rep" app.

7/10 65 minutes walking/running.  I walked slowly with my older son while he was on skates, dropped him off at home after he wore out and then went back out for 40 minutes doing the Couch to 5K program, day one/wk one!

245/1300

I also doodled out on paper a little schedule for myself to try to fit in the walks I love, the yoga and bodyweight exercises that make me happy, plus the yoga classes that I have to add for teacher training PLUS building the home practice.

If I manage to build up to doing everything I want to do, I'll be at or around 3000 minutes a month.  Anyone else ever do that much?  I'm not trying to kill myself here....and I don't have any type of disordered eating/body image stuff that could become a problem.

I'll do something more today.  yesterday was our coop day (I run a food coop with my mom and sister) and we just go go go all day.  I'm not really counting that as minutes, but I wasn't a slug either!
