Well I got my sneak peak and the baby put on a show.  Was doing all sorts of flips for us.  It was fantastic!

thinking of you, hoping you start to feel better soon!

Thanks HCM! I had my first appt with the homebirth midwives this morning and seeing them all again did more for my positivity than anything else! I'm glad you're feeling better enough to exercise! WOW. That's a huge goal of mine. I hate the way I feel when i don't exercise and I know that I will feel better when i can at least get the blood flowing a little. Can you do other things besides water? Even a tough of lime or lemon can help a lot sometimes. Progress!

Oh my god! I almost lost my lunch I was laughing so hard at this. Duh!

Chili....How scary to faint dead away like that. I've certainly felt dizzy at times but I've never fainted in my life. I'm glad you were fine and avoided the ambulance. And double wonderful to see the baby scooting around!  Wahooooozers!

Pilar....your husband sounds like a super sweet guy. Men seem to show their excitement in very concrete ways, while I would be happy just talking and dreaming about the baby.  It's great that you have similar tastes!

I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow and am a little dazed that the first trimester is almost over! I've gained 5 pounds so far. I wonder how much I'll gain in the 2nd tri.  I never pay attention to my weight, but after 2 kids and 3 losses I'm definitely starting this pregnancy heavier than any of the other ones. I gained 50 pounds with my first and lost it all, and then 55 pounds with my second and lost all but 5. I'm sure I'll gain at least 50 pounds with this one too; that just seems to be how I go through pregnancies.

Hi guys, sorry I haven't been keeping up around here. I'll try to catch up with everyone as I can. Being pg with a toddler sure keeps ya busy!

Had my first tri screen last week and all was well! Yeah. Baby looked good and all my numbers came back in the "normal risk" category. So we finally started sharing our news with people.  I kinda hate all the personal attention (weird I know), but at the same time it has been fun. . .my mom got so excited. :)

Oh and at the u/s last week we got to watch the baby repeatedly puts it's hand into it's mouth. Amazing and I'm wondering if I'll have a thumb sucker this time!  We never saw ds do that during a u/s.  His trick was always to be kicking (running?) the whole time. . .which is kind of about how he is now! ha! So maybe this one will be mellower (pretty please!).

Will be starting with my HB MW soon, which I am really happy about, as I am not loving the care I am getting at the hospital. Everything is just so impersonal, I can't stand it. I guess I'm spoiled by having had a HB with a great MW last time. . .but seriously, my appt was all of 15min today. Whereas the homebirth MW will spend an hour with me every time!  Anyway, definitely starting to feel the m/s easing up so that's been nice. And I've got a really little belly starting to pop now, even though I just feel fat most of the time.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm back from camping for a week and halleleuigh my nausea is FINALLY getting better.  It's not gone all the way but i think in the next week It might disappear for good!

Here's a funny question....Today in the shower a bunch of my hair (well, more than normal) pulled out. For those of you who have been post partum before, it reminded me of the great post partum hair loss that goes on. I suppose it could be from camping for a week and not really brushing my hair during that time, but it kinda freaked me out.

The weather is beautiful in Portland (finally) and I'm looking forward to time outside splashing in the kiddie pool with the kids. I need more summer in my summer! The pacific northwest has really sucked this year for summertime weather!
