The ONE Thread Graduates - July 2011! - Page 3

Welcome cygknit!!!  And a huge CONGRATS!

LivingSky - I know I said it in the other thread, but just can't say it enough - congrats!  Can't wait to see new pics when you get DH to take some.  ;)

For anyone that's interested, Ina May Gaskin was on NPR today.  It was pretty interesting and totally reassured me of my body's ability to birth a baby without interventions.  You can check it out here:  http://thedianerehmshow.org/shows/2011-07-25/ina-may-gaskin-birth-matters-midwifes-manifesta.  There's a "listen" link at the top of the story.

Congrats LivingSky, he's gorgeous! I'm so happy your birth went according to plan. Thanks for posting the birth story, such a great one and so much to look forward to!!

I am SO tired of having numb/painful hands. SO. TIRED. OF. IT.

Congrats, Living Sky!  What a precious little blessing.  :o)

Thanks for the link, ValH!  I LOVE Ina May and can't wait to listen to that interview.

TTCCoC, numbness??  Have you been to a chiropractor?

No. I have an OBGYN appointment on Friday. I'm going to ask him about it. I'm pretty well convinced at this point that it's pregnancy induced carpel tunnel syndrome, because it's numbness AND pain in my thumb, index, and ring finger. I really do have the textbook symptoms for CTS... Which sucks, because the only cure is NOT being pregnant!

It sucks so, so, so bad.

My doctor referred me to a physical therapist so I can get splints to sleep with at night. YAY! My appointment is Monday. I'm so, so, so excited.

I'm also measuring 5 weeks ahead, LOL. My mom said she measured big the whole time she was pregnant with me, too. So much so, that the doctors were convinced there was a hidden twin in there.

I had a followup US on Thursday to check my fluid levels, and they're back up to 10.71, which is totally normal, so yay!  I think my gallon-a-day habit is working out.

Anyone want to do the August thread?

Someone wants to make an August thread, right?  Someone's got a desperate but as yet unexpressed desire for that control?

If not, I'm totally gonna do it this afternoon...

Sorry, yellowdart, I'm out for this month.  Just too much going on.  Work is crazy, I'm currently checking out the pediatricians in town (got my second appointment this afternoon), I'm trying to reconcile some family members that haven't spoken in ten years in time for my baby shower, and now there's a very strong possibility that MIL has ovarian cancer (without any insurance, while visiting the US from abroad).  So... if you wouldn't mind being our awesome threadkeeper again, I think you do an excellent job!  ;)

Alright, it's on!  I don't mind being threadkeeper - I just don't want anyone to feel excluded if it's something they really wanted to do.
