Anyone know anything good?  DD (11) and I have watched some of Historia (mostly the minute clips) and we have been reading the Canadian Girl series of books together and sometimes get Kayak from the library, but I am wondering if anyone know of sites that would have a movie or two that would have a good synopsis or birds eye view....back to fur traders, Upper/Lower Canada, Louis Reil (we are from Manitoba after all!), formation of the provinces,  the whole bit.

I have seen some Canadian History books by Janet Lunn at our local library, but it is a bit too "wordy" and above her level/lacking pictures to hold her attention long, despite my paraphrasing it.  She's my computer-visual learner, so I think that movies might help, or a simplified book so the 8 yr old ds can get in on it too.

Thanks
