Still here 38 weeks 2 days!!!

So when I was newly pregnant I was told the odds of my making it to 35 weeks along was 50/50.  Then a CNMW told me that I wouldn't see 35 weeks along pregnant.  My homebirth midwife, took a risk on me.  Told me I needed to make it to 36 weeks for a homebirth.   She felt the 50/50 chance was more accurate.  She was more comfortable with the fact my 35 week preemie was perfectly fine. 

Well guess what I am still pregnant.   I hit 38 weeks on Thursday!!!!   My gut feeling is I am NOT going into labor this week.   So 39 weeks looks so possible for me now.

And now 39 weeks!  Do I hear 40?   My midwife was taking my blood pressure and told me to relax (it is flirting with #s she doesn't want to see but never crosses the line.) I said I am relaxed I am 39 weeks along.  She laughed and said "Won't make it to 35 weeks my foot."  :) I loved it!  

Of course now I am getting the "How are you still pregnant comments."  "When is the OB going to induce?"  comments.  Gotta love it.   I am like hello I am not even full term yet.   I have made it to 40 weeks before so maybe I will see that again.  Of course at 19 years old 40 weeks seemed like a horrible point to make it to.   Now as a more mature mom (35) I think WOW wouldn't that be AWESOME!
