API Support Group in Newport, RI

Is there any interest in an API support group in Newport? I am an API leader from Jacksonville, FL and would love to start a new group here!

Welcome to Rhode Island! I hope you get some responses for your group.

 

You might have better luck trying to organize something more central to RI. People around here don't like to drive. Going all the way down to Newport (and paying for the bridge) can be a turn-off to a lot of folks. The Cranston-Warwick area would be a better locale, IMO.

 

We homeschool, and we're not religious so the support group on Aquidneck Island wasn't a good fit for us. My kids spent a LOT of time in the car, as our homeschool friends are scattered throughout the state. When we lived in Middletown, nobody ever wanted to come visit us....we always seemed to drive to them.

 

Also, if you can't manage to get things going in RI, you can always try Southern Mass. The API website only lists one support group for Mass, and it's way up in the Springfield area.
