If parents are tossed into jail for long stretches, the pathologists should be willing to take the time to figure out if the parent actually did it. The pathologists should also do the research to make sure that there are no other possible causes for nerve damage in the neck area.

And a bit OT on my OP, but all parents should know that ALL SIDS cases are treated as homocides prima facia with the parents of the baby as the first persons of interest. Â I was told this in a Red Cross first aide class.
