It's that time of the month approaching and I'm starting to feel very sensitive and emotional...I get almost depressed around menstruation it's horrid. Can anyone suggest anything I can take medicine or herbal to help at this difficult time each month? Some months it doesn't seem to affect me so much, I might have a little cry. But more often I get all anxious about life and want to be very close with my child and family....maybe I get sentimental? I'm not sure what it is exactly, im just very sensitive and emotional at this time...and anxious. Would be good if there was something to help lessen it...anyone know of anything?

Maybe Rescue Remedy would help take the edge off.

Yes, Rescue Remedy might be really good for this. And I love love love femalite drops too.

Motherwort is good for stress but the previously mentioned sounds like a better fit.

Good luck, Mama!

do you think that this would help with extreme fatigue? I have a little moodiness, but my primary problem is just NO energy the week before I start. I was coming here to ask for some help.

Do some research on vitex and calcium for PMS. Also have you read about PMDD? There is a thread in the mental health forum too.

Since I just had a gigantic kidney stone that required surgery for removal, I'm staying away from calcium supplements for the time being. I'm going to slowly add them back in, and see how it goes. I'm thinking that all of the TUMS I took while I was pregnant may have been a contributing factor.

I was diagnosed with PMDD years ago, and was actually on medications for a brief period. I was in the midst of a very bad marriage and traumatic divorce, so I'm not convinced that PMDD was the true issue.

I'm in WEEKLY therapy issues, and have been for at least a year. I certainly hope that there's not more issues to uncover, since I'm not sure I have the mental energy for more. :) Exercise is also vital for my sanity .... I run between 10 and 15 miles per week.

I was thinking there's something missing from my diet, or I needed some sort of supplement, to combat the fatigue that sidelines me. I thought I was pregnant this last week, since I was so exhausted.
