Diaper rash Concern

My 8 month old dd has been exclusively cd'd until last week. We were out and she had a poo-splosion and I realized I left her diapers at home! It was bad enough (and I couldn't go home immediately) that I needed to get her a diaper asap. So I picked up a small pack of diapers.

Just wearing that one diaper for a short period of time made her entire bottom break out. You could see the outline of the diaper in red on her skin. :(

It is now 5 days later and she still has a rash. I've tried lanolin, desitin, this organic beeswax ointment, TTO, lavender, aloe. Nothing is helping. It's not yeast.

Any tricks? She scratches like crazy when her diaper is off.

My YDD would get rashes often....then I figured out no oranges or orange juice for her.

Anyways, try letting her go diaperless for a little bit each day.   Say at bath or changing time.  Let her be diaperless and play.   the fresh air helps.   That and vaseline when you put the diaper one.   I don't CD, so I am not sure if that would be okay w/the CD?  But the vaseline will create a barrier so when she does "go" there's a bit of protection between her skin and diaper.   I have always also had very good luck w/the "Butt Paste!"
