Add dirt as they grow (hill them up)

I had way too many seed potatoes for my space so I threw a few in the compost, and must have dropped one in the grass by accident.   All are growing.  The compost ones I understand - but the grass one is interesting as I am pretty it was not buried.  Potatoes seem darn hardy!

They are done when the plants turn yellow/burn and fall over.  Around (Zone 4) it is around September.

You can harvest early potatoes if you like after they flower (not all potatoes flower, though)
