littlestinkers, how many DPO are you?  Maybe you just need to test again in a couple days?  Anyway, I see the faint line...crossing my fingers for you!!!!

carolyn, what a rollercoaster you have been on.  I am so sorry.  Best of luck.  Do you have enough progesterone?  Have you gone to the doctor right away after your BFPs to get that tested since you have had so many early losses?

JMJ, fun to see you in the March DDC. :) :)

Carmen, hope you get your BFP this month.  11 more days is a long time to wait.  Or is it like 10 now?  Sigh!!!

I am crying at the most ridiculous yet touching things.  Must have enough hormones pumping in me....

JMJ, congratulations!! Happy and healthy 9 months!

littlestinkers, I can't open your photos cause I'm at work and the hospital blocks images, but sounds promising! I will look when I get home... exciting!

Cellist, glad you are feeling confident if a little weepy! Hehe. I agree with the others to QUIT TEMPING.

carmen358, my cycle/testing buddy, how you feeling? We're 6dpo, I've been feeling a bit crampy in my back on the one side, but could also be related to living at the hospital this weekend, hard floors etc. We shall see!

littlestinkers, congratulations!  I wouldn't worry one bit.  Most people don't get any second line at 10 DPO.  If you're getting any line today, things are looking good!

looking good littlestinkers! I think that line is just going to get stronger and stronger

Thought I would provide an update... Please move me to Waiting to O... another cycle that was a bust. *sigh*.

Just following the news here-- congrats to those who have gotten their BFPs; PPAF for those who have been waiting; and, hugs to those who have gotten AF and didn't want it.

Had a question:  What are people's thoughts on the weaning process-- is it easier to work on the daytime feeds or nighttime?  Is there anything I need to know about pros/cons of doing it one way over the other?  I'm at a loss... it seems like the daytime feeds have been reduced somewhat, because DS is so busy moving around exploring things, BUT I'm wondering if that is why he hasn't decreased the nighttime ones?  I sure would love for it to the be the other way around, because I'm so exhausted from his frequent wakings.  And I guess I'm asking, too, if night or day weaning has more impact on cycles/fertility?

Ok so I have major issues and test too much but this is my last test I took...

Yay!!!  That looks like my 13 DPO test, so you are doing great!  See you in the March DDC.  Congratulations!!!

Niniel,  I went 25 months or so until AF came.  We tried Vitex (which worked like a charm with DS) but it just didn't work this time and made me feel like I was on constant PMS (very moody, etc).  I hope that you find something that works and doesn't make you feel sick.

littlestinkers, many congratulations!

keep those BPFs coming!

JMJ - congrats!!!

Littlestinkers - if the last one isn't positive then I don't know what is!!!  And considering it's not a blue dye test - it's gotta be a BFP!

Im totally new to charting, so I may very well be wrong.. but I'd say you O'd on the CD 14

Sorry, TenzinsMama greensad.gif How was your LP this time around? I'm not sure about your weaning question. My only experience is that my DD would not have been ready to cut down at all on nursing at 11 or 12 months. I have read however that the 'magic' amount of time to go without nursing is 5 hours to have any impact on fertility. I don't know how accurate that is though. It seems sort of arbitrary to me. I think there are exceptions to every rule in this whole fertility thing!

Thanks, cellist smile.gif Yay for crying! lol

maia: I'm also feeling crampy/achy in the back and front. Very 'af-y' feeling. But I had that last month too (I know because I wrote down all my 'symptoms' last time). A couple of new things this cycle though....my nipples are very sensitive when DD nurses..usually only happens 2-3 days before and on O day. And I have lots more creamy cm this time...but I wasn't looking for it post-O the past few cycles so no idea if that is normal for me. When are you planning on testing?!

littlestinkers: Congrats!!! Looks VERY positive to me! According to your chart I think by just looking at your temps I would guess you O'd on CD16. However, all your other fertility signs really seem to confirm you did O on CD14 as FF thinks you did. On the other hand, you could be pregnant with twins and testing positive early orngbiggrin.gif

Don't say twins... I love my twins but I want a Homebirth and can't do bed rest again I have too many kids to take care of...

littlestinkers, I think you Oed on CD 15-16.  CD 15 is peak day, so it's possible you ovulated any time between CD 12 and CD 18, though it's probably pretty close to CD 15.  Your cover line should really be above your pre-shift temps, so it really doesn't make any sense to put it where FF did.  It should be at 97.8, so your first temp above the CL is CD 17, indicating that you probably just ovulated.  I don't give much weight to an ovulation dip.  Those are much less common than most people believe and not very good for actually pinpointing ovulation.  In any case, a BFP already is a very good sign.

Oh, Carolyn, I totally understand.  I'm not sure if it helps, but I've heard a statistic that 1 in 3 pregnancies end in early loss, but most people don't test before they even know.  When I've had my early losses I've always felt like I wish I just hadn't tested and just had my period be late - you know, innocence is bliss. Still, it means your body is doing something.  Have you tried taking progesterone cream or Vitex, both are supposed to help with early loss.  I've heard you just want to make sure you continue taking whatever you are taking until you are 12 weeks and beyond.  I'm going for progesterone this month... we'll see.  So sorry you are feeling the way you are, I know it sucks.  Sending lots of love your way.

Thanks for the love ladies :)

With dd, my dr put me on progesterone from 8-12 wks... not sure if it did anything, to me, that's starting it a little late if I needed it.. But I was also doing acupuncture and drinking some special tea from the Chinese dr... So maybe that helped too. After the loss in May, my dr told me to call him as soon as I find out Im preg again, and he'll try to see me early (usually see's patients around 8 or 9 wks) and put me on progesterone early. He's never done any testing though, so we dont even know if thats the problem. When I saw him in June (was supposed to be my 9 wk ultrasound, but I kept the apt to talk to him about all these losses), he didnt seem concerned. Said that because I had a healthy full-term preg, that at this point he sees no need for any testing. He's also a fertility specialist, he has a private practice on the side, as well as being the Chief OBGYN at my hospital.

Im now on cd 17, we've dtd the past 4 days, not sure if / when I ovulated, not too much cm going on, and god knows I'm hopeless at figuring out cervical position. lol. Maybe I will start tempting again, even though dd wakes up like 10 times to nurse throughout the night.. really need to work on that!

On another note, congrats to all the bfps lately, so happy and excited for you all!

littlestinkers, those BFPs look AWESOME! Yay for your family! Good luck coming up with another Z name, I can't even believe you've come up with 4 thus far. orngbiggrin.gif

TenzinsMama, sorry AF came and rained on your parade. hug.gif As for your questions re: weaning, night time feedings have WAY more effect on your cycles than daytime feeds. Sometimes even eliminating one night feed helps regulate things a bit. Hope you have success next month.

Carolyn_mtl, I agree with the others that progesterone is most effective when started early, like right after you get your BFP. You can buy natural progesterone cream (wild yam I think?) also to take in the meantime. I am such a strong believer in acupuncture and Chinese medicine for all issues related to fertility, pregnancy and birth. I hope that's just the ticket to your future sticky babe. fingersx.gif

carmen358, 7dpo today! My plan is to test daily starting with 9dpo (so tomorrow morning is the last FMU I have to resist, phew!) with my cheap tests and confirm with an FRER if/when I get a line. I am still feeling really back achy and crampy, just like you said as though AF is pending. But it's too early for that, so hopefully it's a little peanut burrowing in there! Hope it's our month! love.gif

Bugglette, how you doing? Any more info to confirm or deny that you may have O'ed last week? Thinking of you!

P.S. A little hint, if you struggle with baby fever, don't ever become a midwife! Every time I catch a fresh squishy babe, my uterus just THROBS!! I want to steal all the babies, haha!

I'm hoping to wait until at least 10DPO....ideally 11DPO but I doubt I'll make it that extra day ;)

Littlestinkers, congrats!!!

Carmen, my LP was only 10 days this time around.  My whole cycle was 27 days, the shortest I have ever gotten.  How many DPO are you?  The things you are describing sound really promising!  I hear what you are saying about how your little one wouldn't have been ready to cut out any feeds at around the 11 month mark... my little guy may just not be ready for any decrease.  What was your weaning pattern like?  I guess I should be grateful that despite the frequent nursings, I was able to experience a PPAF early on and I've been having monthly cycles since then (end of January).

Blissful_Maia, I'm looking for a happy balance between meeting my DS's needs for nursing (he is a big comfort-nurser) and my own (ie. more sleep).  I've never noticed it more than I have these last couple of weeks-- I've had some stressful events happen a month ago, and then as of yesterday I have come down with a bug, so I'm flu-like... and DS wants to nurse, nurse, nurse.  My joints ache so bad, and I want nothing more than the session to quickly end (or avoid it altogether).  I'm sure I'm sick because I'm run down from lack of sleep all these months-- I normally have a really good immune system and I'm hardly ever sick.  When I know that he has had his fill of milk, and he is just using me as a pacifer, I take him off, but he protests so much (kicking, screaming, crying)... Thoughts?  I don't know what to do.
